Experience:

You will be starting your tour at 5:00 pm from the Dutch Hospital in Colombo Fort. Your guide will be a dapper gentleman dressed in a waistcoat, who will meet you in the courtyard outside the Heladiv Tea Club. The gentlemen are asked to dress in proper trousers, while it is recommended that the ladies too wear something semi-formal as some bars, that you will be visiting, have a strict dress code. Comfortable shoes are also a must, as you will be doing a lot of walking.

Your guide will take you to four different historic bars located around Colombo Fort. There, at each bar, you will get to have a drink of local liquor and some snacks. If you wish to try more different varieties of alcohol, you are always free to buy at your own cost. Your guide will tell the history of each bar and explain how it meshes with the history of Colombo Fort. The bars that you will visit are all from the colonial era but from slightly different periods. So you will find that their style and internal decor differ from each other - making them quite a wonderful sight.

After enjoying your walk from bar to bar, you will stop for dinner around 8:00 pm. Your guide will take you to a food stall with some delicious and popular Sri Lanka street food. You can enjoy having a meal there (which is part of your tour package). After some rest, your guide will start the journey back.

Your tour will come to an end at 9:00 pm when you return to your starting point at the Dutch Hospital.
