Badulla er hovedstaden i Uva-provinsen i Sri Lanka. Badulla ligger sydøst for Kandy, næsten omgivet af Badulu Oya-floden, omkring 680 meter over havets overflade og er omgivet af teplantager. Byen er overskygget af Namunukula-bjergkæden. Badulla ligger omkring 230 km fra Colombo mod de østlige skråninger af de centrale bakker i Sri Lanka. Badulla og omegn anbefales varmt til økoturister, da Horton Plains Nationalpark og Knuckles-bjergene ligger få timer væk. Særlige steder i Badulla: Muthiyangana-templet, Dhowa-templet, Bogoda gamle træbro, Rawana-vandfaldet.

Uva-provinsen er Sri Lankas næstmindst befolkede provins med 1.187.335 indbyggere, oprettet i 1896. Den består af to distrikter kaldet Badulla og Moneragala. Provinshovedstaden er Badulla. Uva grænser op til den østlige, sydlige og centrale provins.
